Chief Marketing Officer (CMO)

Chief Marketing Officer will continue to build and lead the marketing strategy to support our strategic goals.

Eleco plc (AIM: ELCO) is a specialist international provider of world class software and related services, supporting the built environment through its operations in the UK, Sweden, Germany, Netherlands, and the USA.

The Company’s software solutions are used throughout the building lifecycle from early planning and design stages through to construction, interior fit out, asset management and facilities management to support project management, estimation, visualisation, Building Information Modelling (BIM) and property management.

This is a great opportunity to join a successful public listed company as we seek to appoint a Chief Marketing Officer who will continue to build and lead the company/brand/product positioning and marketing strategy across Eleco plc to support our strategic goals.

The Chief Marketing Officer will have overall responsibility and ownership for defining, implementing, and reporting on our global marketing strategies across all Eleco brands. This is a strategic role and yet a hands-on role that will sit within the leadership team.

The role will report into the Chief Executive Officer and will collaborate with the regional marketing teams, sales function, Chief Product Officer, Group Transformation Director and other senior executives across our organisation. To be successful in this role you will need to be a creative thinker with a proven track record in creating engaging marketing strategies, embracing change and working in collaboration with various stakeholders.

Key responsibilities:
  • Lead the company/brand/product purpose, vision, culture and positioning across Eleco plc by developing compelling marketing value propositions that demonstrate Eleco’s competitive advantage.
  • Implement a full-scale digital marketing strategy, maintaining the brand guidelines on social media, email, PR and other content for both digital and physical assets.
  • Oversight of regional product marketing and sales teams with product marketing strategies including the full marketing mix and ensure that high quality promotional output is delivered.
  • Ensure conformity and consistency in delivery of promotional marketing with a view to develop value-based branding
  • Monitor industry trends and identify potential opportunities for product expansion / introduction.
  • Manage and co-ordinate the PR activities and its agency relationships.
  • Manage the corporate reporting process including monthly Board reports for all marketing activity and the production,delivery and communication of annual reports.
  • Management and ownership of marketing budget.
Qualifications:

Demonstrate competence in marketing strategies by holding a Bachelor’s degree/qualifications in Marketing or equivalent professional experience

Essential skills/ prerequisites:
  • Considerable marketing, company/brand/product positioning experience at senior executive level and gained in complex organisations.
  • Experience of working cross-functionally with product management, sales and cultural transformation teams to ensure marketing programmes are in line with company objectives, culture and values
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Software/technology/SaaS (Software as a Service) experience(desired).
  • Experience in SaaS marketing (desired).
  • Managing creative/content management/copywriting agencies (desired).
  • Strong copywriting and content production experience (desired).

Working hours and location:

The normal working hours are 37.5 hours per week. From time to time, you may be required to work additional hours to fully perform your job in accordance with the needs of the business.

The main working location is Londonand the role may involve travel to other Elecosoft offices, client’s offices, and other locations as necessary in line with the needs of the business.
