Global Product Manager

Working from either Southampton, Haddenham or Market Harborough in the UK, the Global Product Manager will work with internal stakeholders to identify key global markets that are ideal for product penetration. Other responsibilities include monitoring market trends, tracking competitors’ products and putting strategies in place to promote the growth of products.

Key responsibilities:
  • Drive a market-led approach. Gather market research and customer feedback and perform analysis.
  • Acquire data and knowledge about the market and competitors and pro-actively engage with customers, sales, development, support and other channels to evolve your products and propositions.
  • Acting as product champion within Elecosoft.
  • Supporting continued development of existing products by identifying potential features.
  • Identifying new product opportunities.
  • Work with internal and external parties to define the product roadmap and strategy to support the business objectives.
  • Manage, prioritise and maintain the product backlog.
  • Produce documented requirements for the developers, writing high level requirement, user stories and briefing the team.
  • Coordinate production releases and product roadmaps.
  • Define and deliver improvements to the product roadmap ensuring the product continues to meet the current and future business needs.
  • Justify the on-going developments/ enhancements through ROI analysis and business need.
Qualifications:

Educated to Degree level or equivalent in a relevant subject such as software, engineering, electronics or similar.

Essential skills/ prerequisites:
  • Demonstrable experience of product management, particularly with international SaaS software launches.
  • Have experience and knowledge of local regulations, tax/duty rules and other key elements that go with international programme expansion.
  • Experience of expanding upon and creating successful, high quality products and propositions.
  • Ability to drive product development and optimisation.
  • Significant experience in a product management role within a similar industry.

Working hours and location:

The normal working hours are 35 hours per week. From time to time, you may be required to work additional hours to fully perform your job in accordance with the needs of the business.

The main working location is Elecosoft’s Southampton office, but the role may involve travel to other Elecosoft offices, client’s offices, and other locations as necessary in line with the needs of the business.
