Sales Development Representative

We are looking for an enthusiastic Sales Development Representative to contribute to generating sales for our company. You will be responsible for identifying leads and potential opportunities to sell our products over the phone.

An effective telesales representative must be an excellent communicator and have good people skills. They must be comfortable presenting products or services over the phone.

The goal is to help the company grow by bringing in leads that the Business Development Managers can turn into customers.

Key responsibilities:
  • Contact potential or existing customers to inform them about a product or service using scripts
  • Answer basic questions about products or the company
  • Ask questions to understand customer requirements and qualify if there is a lead
  • Direct Leads to the Business Development team when identified
  • Enter and update customer information into the CRM System
  • Keep records of calls and actions and note useful information
Essential skills/ prerequisites:
  • Aptitude and attitude suitable for outbound telephone calling to prospects
  • Any experience of dealing with customers would be an advantage
  • Computer literate with experience of basic computer systems such as Office
  • Ability to learn about products and services and describe/explain them to prospects
  • Excellent knowledge of English
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Cool-tempered and able to handle rejection
  • Graduate education would be an advantage

Working hours and location:

The normal working hours are 37.5 hours per week. From time to time, you may be required to work additional hours to fully perform your job in accordance with the needs of the business.

The main working location is Southampton, Hampshire.
