Integrations
Whilst viewing o2c models with the old Player was good, the new player has the advantage of using a 3D-graphics card to improve the viewing speed and display quality of the 3D model.
To integrate an o2c-object into a web-site, you have to double-click it in the Windows Explorer, so that the o2c-Player runs in its own window.
In this Player-Window, you adjust all parameters using the context-menu (right mouse button) as they shall appear on the web-site (size, background, autom. rotation, animation, zoom, etc…).
Afterwards choose the item “Copy HTML-Code…”. A window appears, asking for the URL (path) of the object. This needs not to be changed, if the o2c-object is placed in the same directory as the HTML Document. If not, the relative path to the object has to be inserted.
The necessary HTML-Code is now copied to the Windows-Clipboard and can be pasted to the HTML editor with the desired Web-Site (Ctrl+C). Done!
In this pasted code you can change or add parameters (s. o2c-Helpfile / Properties). E.g. width or height may be defined not only in px. but also in %, relative to the window size.
When uploading the HTML-Document and the object be sure to use binary Upload-mode for the o2c-object.
To insert the o2c-Player to a Word-Document, you need the Controlelement-Toolbox. If not visible choose View – Symbolpanels -> Controlelement-Toolbox.
In the Controlelement-Toolbox choose the Button “More Controlelements” (hammer + spanner) which opens a list, that also contains the o2c-player.
After choosing “o2c-Player” you use the Mouse to define the o2c-player’s area in the page and choose afterwards from the context-menu (right mouse button):
o2c-Player -> Load Object…
to integrate the desired object into the Word-Document.
The o2c-object may now be moved or rotated after ending the draft-mode by the mouse. In this mode you can adjust parameters of the player like background, autom. rotation, animation, … They are stored, when the Word-Document is stored.
Alternatively to this, you can enter Visual-Basic_Editor by double-clicking the object in the Edit-Mode of Word. You find a Properties window, in which you can adjust parameters. This is perhaps useful to change the rotation speed SpinPhi and SpinPsi.
ATTENTION The o2c-Object can not be seen in the draft-mode! If the Document is sent, the receiver should be informed about this.
To insert the o2c-Player to a presentation, you need the Controlelement-Toolbox. If not visible choose View – Symbolpanels -> Controlelement-Toolbox.
- In Office 2007 the Developer-Tools need to be activated first. Choose “Powerpoint-Options” from the Office-Button in the left-top-corner and activate the developers-toolbox under the line “often used”.
- In Office 2010 you find the Powerpoint-Options choosing File > Options. Select Menuband and activate the developer’s toolbox.
In the Controlelement-Toolbox choose the button “More Controlelements” (hammer + spanner) which opens a list that also contains the o2c-player.
After choosing “o2c-Player” you use the mouse to define the o2c-player’s area in the page and choose afterwards from the context-menu (right mouse button):
o2c-Player -> Load Object…
to integrate the desired object into the Word-Document.
The o2c-object may now be moved or rotated in the presentation-mode by the mouse. In this mode you can adjust parameters of the player like background, autom. rotation, animation, … They are stored, when the Presentation is stored.
Alternatively to this, you can enter Visual-Basic_Editor by double-clicking the object in the Edit-Mode of Powerpoint. You will find a properties window, in which you can adjust parameters. This is perhaps useful to change the rotation speed SpinPhi and SpinPsi.
ATTENTION The o2c-object is only shown correct in the presentation-mode!
