Create staircase designs using a limited range of stair shapes for stairs with simpler geometries. When combined with add-on modules Export 2D or DXF for CAM, Staircon Limited can be used by CNC manufacturers with external CAM software.

Quick and easy basic designs

Stair construction is made easy with pre-defined stair shapes and a customised design model database. There are a lot of things you can do; here is the list the things you can’t do:

  • Guide with predefined shapes Spiral or S-shaped stairs
  • Arc strings/handrails/floor openings
  • Curved front edge for treads/steps
  • Round posts
  • Stairs with angled risers (Z-risers)
  • Limitations on modifications for shape of stairs and floor openings
Note, Staircon Limited is also restricted from sharing projects with Staircon Sales or Staircon Professional.

Work preparation at the push of a button

Stair details are processed into production data with material optimisation and/or printed to plotter as full-size drawings. Scaled production drawings and/or bill of materials for material preparation or as checklist on the shop floor can also be generated. The plan view can be printed scale 1:1.

Compatible modules to extend the functionality of Staircon Limited:

Export 3D

Let your customer see the staircase they envision, send them the 3D file. The exported 3D file can be sent to the customer for viewing, which is a superior alternative to showing the stair with still images. This has been a much appreciated sales tool for Staircon users.

DXF for CAM

For manufacturers who already have a CAM software for 3-axis machining in place, DXF for CAM provides an efficient link to Staircon Professional. The module offers a customised setup of DXF layers used to automate processing of the DXF files into machine-specific CNC code.

Export 2D

Export plan view, side view and/or production details to DXF files. Production details can be exported as separate files and/or separate layers for later processing in an external CAM system. Another common use for exporting DXF is if a stair detail is made by an external manufacturer, for example glass boards.
