How using collaborative software helped IHG manage brand standards more efficiently

IconSystem®Webinar

Join this webinar to hear John Page from IHG discuss how IconSystem enables every hotel to be designed and built to the same high standards, with the group managing multiple construction and refurbishment projects at any point in time.

Key points we’ll discuss during the session will include:

  1. How IHG managed their brand standards, issues and challenges faced before Elecosoft.
    a. How utilisation of static PDFs, sharing via email, WeTransfer etc created confusion and no robust audit trail of work.
    b. Not fit for purpose as a leading hotel company.
    c. Duplication of information as managed by internal and external parties. Increasing costs for external agencies to create specification documents.
  2. Benefits of a single source of the truth and how to align your data and teams ready for digital systems.
  3. Overview of IconSystem and the IHG Control Book system.
  4. Conclude with benefits and usage of the platform to date.

About the speaker:
John Page has held roles at Sainsbury’s, John Lewis & Waitrose, who all use IconSystem, with John involved with each of those systems. John found at IHG they had no way to centralise their specifications and standards and that it was difficult to communicate the latest brand information to their owners.

John came to Elecosoft as he has experience of using the system and could see how it would work in the hotel sector. John works as Manager Category EMEAA Hotels in the procurement team and since launching the Holiday Inn brand has been instrumental in onboarding the Holiday Inn Express brand also. This ensures the deals John makes with suppliers are communicated to IHG hotel owners, and when fitting out their hotels they use the correct brand standards.
