Supported customers can visit the support portal to upgrade.
Enhanced spreadsheet and Gantt chart formatting
Formatting project schedules to individual preferences or business need is an integral part of visualising and communicating key project information in a consistent manner with stakeholders.
Based on customer feedback, v16 introduces several new enhancements to both spreadsheet and Gantt chart formatting, allowing more granular customisation and defaults.
Improved interoperability with Primavera P6
We know the importance of data integrity within the overall master programme. That is why we always look for ways to improve how Powerproject interacts with other scheduling software. Powerproject v16 introduces several enhancements that improve interoperability with P6, improve user experience and continues to provide customers with the user friendly, cost effective solution when working in a P6 distributed environment.
Improved project file backup support
Though you may not see this enhancement in your day to day use, we’ve spent a considerable amount of time under the bonnet of Powerproject. V16 introduces a new file backup routine; increasing the robustness of your project files.
New Powerproject Enterprise setup
Powerproject v16 introduces a new web-based Server Admin tool allowing Powerproject Enterprise servers to be managed without logging on to the server, which will be rolled out progressively in 2021. This will allow permitted end users to set up their UDFs, control pre-mount settings and even restart servers via a web page. Let us know if you would be interested in finding out more.
Cloud concurrent licensing
Powerproject v16 introduces compatibility with concurrent licensing in the cloud, which will be rolled out progressively in 2021. This will allow you to have your company pool of concurrent Powerproject licences hosted in the cloud. This will provide your users with a seamless, connected licensing experience without the need to install a local licence manager nor rely on LAN access and VPNs to obtain a shared licence. Let us know if you would be interested in finding out more.

The v16 Product Improvement Programme is designed to gather usage data that we will use in future product developement.

Details on the new features in this latest release are found in our comprehensive online help file within the Powerproject software.
“Anybody can write a simple programme, but Powerproject links all the elements of the project and creates a strategy. This is invaluable when you need to demonstrate to the stakeholders of the construction project what an impact, positive or negative, any small change to the schedule or specification could have.”
“It’s now quick and easy for our construction directors not just to generate a programme and customise it, but one that can be organic and evolve week by week as it is progressed. We can always see how far we are ahead, or behind, using a jagged progress line which is easy to understand.”
“Powerproject Vision now helps us see how close we are to that across all projects, based on contractual milestones and internal progress indicators, keeping a clear view of planned and actual completion percentages.”
“Powerproject is one of the most flexible programme management software solutions.”
“Our project teams are using Powerproject because it’s user-friendly and performs like other Windows systems – it is more straight-forward to use than some other project management applications.”
“Digital construction is changing how we deliver and manage projects, and that’s a good thing. Tools like the Site Progress Mobile app help us to take people out from behind desks, marking up progress on drawings or schedules, to managing the work on site – which is exactly where we want them.”
“Linking programme tasks to model data is very simple with Powerproject BIM.”
