Microsoft Windows 64-bit
Asta Powerproject is approved for use with 64-bit operating systems.
Microsoft Office
Asta Powerproject Version 15 is supported alongside Office 2019 as well as earlier versions of Office.
Microsoft Windows Server
Asta Enterprise Version 16 is approved for use as a service on Windows Server 2012, Windows Server 2016 and Windows Server 2019 (Non GUI versions are not supported). 64bit Asta Enterprise is only supported on 64bit Windows server operating systems.
Virtual Environments
Asta Powerproject Version 16 is supported on Microsoft Hyper-V, VMWare ESX, VMWare ESXi and when using VMWare Workstation. Other virtual environments are not currently supported. Please contact our technical support team for information on licencing in a VMWare environment.
Home editions
“Home” editions of Microsoft Windows operating systems do not include some of the technologies that are required to fully operate Asta Powerproject and its activation technologies, so these editions are not supported environments for Asta Powerproject. If using a “Home” edition of a Microsoft Windows operating system is a requirement, consider using Asta Powerproject SaaS instead, which does work in this environment.

A pointing device such as a mouse is highly recommended for interacting with Asta Powerproject SaaS.

There is no set system requirement for Asta Enterprise as it depends on the number of users and the database size. For example, an implementation with 10 users and a large database will require a higher hardware specification to an implementation with two users and a small database.
At the start of each implementation there is a 1-day Basic Process Design meeting where we meet with the customer to discuss how they want to use the system. On the basis of this session, we recommend the necessary hardware.
Microsoft Windows Server
Version 16 Enterprise server is approved for use as service on Windows Server 2012. Windows Server 2016 and Windows Server 2019 (Non GUI versions are not supported). 64bit Asta Enterprise is only supported on 64bit Windows server operating systems.
Microsoft SQL Server
Asta Enterprise is compatible with Microsoft SQL Server versions from SQL Server 2008 to SQL Server 2019. SQL Server express editions are supported.
The Asta SiteProgress app can be freely downloaded onto any Android or iOS device. Search for “Asta SiteProgress” in your device’s app store.
