Product Value Manager

This is a great opportunity to join a successful public listed company as we seek to appoint a Product Value Manager who will drive the success of our Asta product offerings to support our strategic goals.

 

Eleco plc (AIM: ELCO) is a specialist international provider of world class software and related services, supporting the built environment through its operations in the UK, Sweden, Germany, Netherlands, and the USA.

The Company’s software solutions are used throughout the building lifecycle from early planning and design stages through to construction, interior fit out, asset management and facilities management to support project management, project scheduling, cost estimation, visualisation, Building Information Modelling (BIM) and property management.

Role purpose:

Product Value Manager at Elecosoft is a role for someone who is highly collaborative, a proactive leader who can join a strong team that together takes ownership of product success. You will be at the centre of our customer-centric values by understanding what is important to our customers work and how we can help them to be more successful. You will be expected to prioritise work against clear outcome oriented goals, understand how to discover and validate real customer and business value, and what processes are needed to reduce the uncertainty that the product will succeed in market.

Key responsibilities:
  • Customer Engagement: Work closely with sales / account management teams to engage with customers, gather feedback, and conduct research to understand their pain points and requirements. Act as a customer advocate within the organisation.
  • Strategy: Work as part of a steering group which ultimately defines and owns the strategic vision for Asta whilst acting as an evangelist internally and externally to ensure alignment across internal teams and the wider industry.
  • Value: Work alongside SMEs to serve as a central knowledge resource, empowering internal staff and customers to recognise and understand the value of the Asta product suite and its new features as they are introduced to the market.
  • Development: Provide feedback on new and existing features in development to help mould and shape the product offering.
  • Market: Assess the competitive landscape and identify opportunities for product differentiation, enhancement and new product offerings. Understand customer needs and translate them into specific requirements to be fed in to the product steering group.
  • Roadmaps: Taking input from the product steering group, work alongside the Head of R&D to create and maintain Asta roadmaps.
  • Go-to-Market: Ensure product value and positioning is fully communicated to all areas of the business prior to general availability of the product.
Knowledge, Skills/Abilities and Experience

Essential

  • Construction and planning – Strong background in working in or supporting the planning and construction processes.
  • Experience in expanding upon and creating successful, high-quality products and propositions.
  • Passionate in structured problem solving.
  • Influential and team oriented.
  • Skilled in developing and communicating both strategic vision and detailed plans.

Desirable

  • Project planning and BIM workflows – Strong background in working in or supporting industry leading project planning and BIM processes.
  • Construction, Civil Engineering or other related background would be beneficial.
  • Awareness of data management workflows, international data coding systems and AI/ML.
Qualifications
  • Degree level or equivalent experience.

Working hours and location:
  • The normal working hours are 37.5 hours per week. From time to time, you may be required to work additional hours to fully perform your job in accordance with the needs of the business.
  • The primary working location is Remote and the role may involve travel to company offices, client’s offices, and other locations as necessary in line with the needs of the business.
