Elecosoft obtains ISO 27001 certification in continued commitment to customer data security

Elecosoft, the specialist international software provider for the built environment, has obtained ISO 27001 certification, ensuring its customer data is protected by the latest information security standards.

Cybersecurity is a prominent issue for companies as the volume of data that they store and share continues to grow. A third (32%) of UK companies have identified a cyber-attack on their business in the past 12 months1, and cybercrime can cost British firms up to £15,300 each year.2

ISO 27001 is the international standard for Information Security Management. Obtaining this certification acknowledges that Elecosoft is following information security and data protection best practices, and that all its IT systems either meet or exceed the latest industry standards.

The certification process provided Elecosoft with an opportunity to complete an unbiased assessment of its security protocols, evaluating threats and vulnerabilities and refining processes for safeguarding customer data.

Jonathan Hunter, CEO, Eleco plc commented: “Elecosoft is committed to protecting customer data through operational resilience and high levels of cybersecurity. Meeting ISO 27001 requirements is the latest demonstration of that commitment.

“ISO 27001 is the only globally recognised information security management standard, and obtaining certification will further enhance the confidence and trust that customers place in our solutions.”

Elecosoft already holds ISO 9001 certification for quality management systems.
