The challenge – managing complex projects
The scale and complexity of Arte Construction’s projects demand robust planning and seamless communication to keep delivery on track. “We specialise in façade remediation across both HRB and non-HRB buildings, ensuring each scheme is made fully compliant and fire safe,” explained Kye Gambin, Head of Planning at Arte Construction. “Our role is to strip the façade back to structure and rebuild it using fully tested systems, fire breaks, and compliant materials.”
Some common challenges include late or incomplete information, variability in site production due to weather and access constraints, managing multiple blocks simultaneously with staggered logic, supply chain uncertainty, and ensuring the site team reports accurate progress.
In the past, Arte Construction had faced significant programme management challenges. “In many businesses, programmes circulate informally, and revision control becomes unreliable. Vision removes that risk by giving us a clean, auditable history,” Kye said. “Before implementing Vision, our programmes were stored centrally in SharePoint, which worked well for document sharing but didn’t provide the structured audit trail a growing business needs. Vision strengthened this by giving us controlled access, full revision history, and a single source of truth for the entire team.”
Progress monitoring was particularly time-consuming. “Previously, progress updates required 1–2 hours of manual review with the project manager. Siteprogress eliminates that bottleneck entirely,” Kye said. “Vision has strengthened cross-team visibility by ensuring everyone can instantly access the latest approved programme. It has streamlined communication between planning, commercial, and operations and increased confidence that we’re all working from the most up-to-date information.”.

When Kye joined Arte Construction in October 2024, he was key in implementing Asta Vision. “Vision provides a complete audit trail and a single, trusted location for the entire team – from tender through delivery,” he said.
Asta Vision now serves as the central control panel for every live project at Arte Construction. “I use Asta Vision as the central control panel,” Kye said. His day typically starts by opening Vision’s project overview to check progress updates from Asta Siteprogress, changes in critical path position, current SPI and CPI metrics, programme variance, and remaining work versus remaining time through Power BI dashboards connected to Vision data.
A critical feature is the platform’s file arrangement and baseline management capability. “File arrangement and baseline management; this is non-negotiable for me,” Kye said. “Vision’s ability to show the most up-to-date programme, previous versions of that programme, in order, and visible to all allows me to have accurate commercial, contractual, and operational conversations. Without that, I’d be spinning in circles.”
The system provides controlled access that maintains data integrity. “Everyone can view the latest programme, and only planners can modify it. That controlled environment protects data integrity across the business. This is powerful in my opinion,” Kye added.
Asta Siteprogress has been equally transformational. “I love Siteprogress. It has transformed the reliability of progress reporting –it gives planners, project managers, and site managers far greater control and accuracy,” Kye said.
The tool eliminates the manual bottleneck that previously consumed hours each week. “Now the PMs can go in and as the progress develops over the week, just start putting that progress in. So on a Friday, all they need to do is push a button and it’s done. It catches everything that we need and embedded into the programme, which is fantastic.”

Asta Vision has transformed both operational efficiency and strategic decision-making at Arte Construction. “The adoption of Vision was straightforward and smooth,” Kye said. “We reached out and within a few weeks everything was up and running. All the rules were applied, everything was explained. It was a controlled and methodical process.”
The impact on programme accessibility has been dramatic. “It’s night and day in how easy it is now to get access to the right programme,” Kye said. “In terms of visibility and time…tenfold. Everyone knows where programmes are and how they can access them.”
While the team is still in the early stages of adoption, benefits are already clear. “Vision effectively holds the ‘single source of truth’ for all programme intelligence,” Kye said. “It also underpins the way I communicate programme health to the board and the client; weekly commentary, delays, and EOT (extension of time) narrative all stem from what Vision exposes.”
The time savings from Siteprogress have been particularly significant. By eliminating 1-2 hour manual progress update sessions and enabling continuous progress input throughout the week, the planning team has regained substantial capacity for more value-added activities like scenario analysis and risk management.

Power BI integration and dashboard reporting
Arte Construction has leveraged Asta Vision’s integration capabilities to develop sophisticated Power BI dashboards that provide executive-level insights. “We have a dashboard through Vision,” Kye said. “We wanted a detailed report from the onset, and now it’s built, it’s pulling out out some key metrics that at a glance give you an overview of the whole portfolio as well as performance on each project on an individual basis.”
The dashboards display real-time data including progress updates from Siteprogress, changes in critical path position, current Schedule Performance Index (SPI) and Cost Performance Index (CPI), programme variance, and remaining work versus remaining time. This creates what Kye calls “Work Remaining vs Time Remaining” dashboards that help explain time-risk to non-technical stakeholders.
“Our Power BI dashboard gives us live, portfolio-wide insight. It allows senior leadership to steer decisions based on evidence rather than just intuition,” Kye emphasised. The transparency enables more informed resource allocation decisions and helps senior management understand the impact of key decisions on project trajectories over time.

Team adoption and technical support
Arte Construction has achieved organisation-wide adoption of the Asta ecosystem, with different user groups accessing the platform according to their needs. The planning team leads the charge with full editing capabilities in Asta Powerproject, while project directors, PMs, site managers, tender teams, commercial managers, and board members all have appropriate access levels.
“Our whole team uses it; all our directors have access, our PMs have access, our bids team have access to it,” Kye said. Team members who don’t use Powerproject directly access programmes via Project Viewer, allowing them to go through programmes and pick out the dates, durations, or other information they need.
The implementation experience with Elecosoft has been highly positive. “The support’s fantastic,” Kye said. “Probably the hardest journey we went on was to build the dashboard and it took quite a lot of time just because of how detailed it was. And our planning templates were changing quite frequently (to account for how we wanted to build the report) and all of that was built collaboratively with the Elecosoft team.”
“I can’t speak highly enough of everyone that put their fingerprints on how we now build programmes and execute reports. It’s fantastic,” he added.
The ease of learning the platform has also supported rapid adoption. “Even after extensive use, I’m still uncovering functionality within the platform. Every interaction with Elecosoft’s team strengthens how we use the system.”

Arte Construction continues to expand its use of Asta Vision and explore additional capabilities within the Asta Suite. The company is particularly interested in benchmarking functionality to compare actual performance across similar activities and projects, building a knowledge base that will improve future estimating and planning accuracy.
